JEE Main 2026 Gulf Centres Announced: UAE, Kuwait to Host Exams in April, Relief for Expat Students

In a significant development for Indian students living in the Gulf region, India’s National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced key details for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026, including exam schedules and overseas centres in countries such as the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain. According to the latest update, JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will be conducted between April 2 and April 8 in a computer-based format, both in India and select international locations. This includes major Gulf cities such as Dubai and Kuwait, where arrangements have already been confirmed for registered candidates. The exam is a critical gateway for admission to premier engineering institutions across India.

The decision to expand and streamline overseas exam centres comes as a major convenience for students who would otherwise have to travel to India to appear for the highly competitive entrance test. The NTA is currently coordinating with the Indian Embassy to ensure that suitable facilities are in place before releasing further details. This phased approach highlights the logistical complexities of conducting a large-scale examination across multiple international locations, ensuring that each centre meets the required standards.

Another key feature of the announcement is the flexibility offered to students. Candidates have been given the option to request a change in their allotted examination city if necessary.
