Dock The Pakistani community in the UAE has a special chance to tour Pakistan Navy ships currently docked in Dubai. Pakistan Navy ship Madadgar and Pakistan Maritime Security ship Zhob arrived at Port Mina Rashid Dubai on January 8, 2024, as part of a goodwill visit to the UAE. They will be open for public visits until January 11, 2024.
Open Ship Day: Exploring Madadgar and Zhob
On January 10, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm, interested families can explore the interiors of the ships. To avail this opportunity, individuals are required to email the Consulate General of Pakistan at [email protected] and must bring their Pakistan and UAE ID cards during the visit.
Significant Presence of Pakistanis in the UAE: Dock
With approximately 1.7 million Pakistanis residing in the UAE across various fields, the arrival of these ships holds particular significance. The vessels were warmly received by Hussain Mohammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, and senior UAE officials.
Naval Features: Madadgar and Zhob
Madadgar, constructed indigenously in Pakistan, serves as a multipurpose small tanker plus utility ship, while Zhob is designed for law enforcement and policing at sea.
Strengthening Bilateral Collaboration: Engagements and Reception
During the UAE visit, Pakistan Navy officers will engage in various interactions to fortify bilateral collaboration. The Pak Navy ships will also host an official reception onboard.
