The intense moment, captured in a video shared on social media, depicted the horse navigating a busy traffic intersection in apparent distress.
Swift Response: Talabat Riders Take Action
At the scene, three riders acted promptly. Two Talabat delivery riders parked their bikes at the intersection and rushed towards the distressed horse to help soothe its agitation. One rider, clad in a black jacket, skillfully caught the horse by the cheekpiece of its bridle, guiding it to safety. Two other Talabat delivery riders were seen providing assistance in the effort.

Talabat praised its riders for their quick response and positive contributions to road safety. In a statement to Khaleej Times, the company expressed support and appreciation for the riders’ kindness and compassion, ensuring the safety of the horse and others on the road.
A Repeat Heroic Act: Delivery Rider Removes Obstacle
This incident follows a pattern of delivery riders playing heroic roles on Dubai’s roads. In a video from 2022, a delivery rider was seen removing a large brick from the middle of a busy intersection. The act garnered attention from Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Recognition from Crown Prince
Dubai’s Crown Prince praised the rider, Abdul Ghafoor, on social media and sought help to get in touch with him. Later, a meeting between the Crown Prince and Abdul Ghafoor took place, with the former expressing admiration and describing the delivery rider as “a true example to be followed.”
